For those of you who know me (who am I kidding, most all of you do) know that I had/have some sort of weird infatuation with the Old Spice ad's - you know the "Man Your Man Could Be Like" ads? It wasn't just the extremely good-looking guy or his uber-sultry voice but also the ingenious ideas behind all these virals that caused me to develop these odd feelings. (Also, it was the extremely good looking guy and his uber-sultry voice.) Well, out with the oldspice and in with the new. There's a new "man your man could/should be like". Introducing Fabio. Not totally confident of my feelings towards this guy who has much nicer hair than I'll ever have in my life (weird?). But I am totally sure that these new set of virals are just as amaze. As is the Fabio VS old "Old Spice Guy" duel. I laughed. Out loud. Yip, I lolled in real life and not just virtually. That's huge. Hope you enjoy them as much as my humour and I did. :)

"He gave you diamonds from a clamfish?! Dumb!". LOL! (for real)

A considerable amount of time was spent time mulling over whether a post should actually be dedicated to this as I wasn't all too sure if this was awesome or just plain freakishly freaky. Thing is, for some reason, I'm totally fascinated by it and considering the fact that I don't (yet) have a blog called "Encountering the Fascination", I'm doing it. I'm making the move and posting about Harry Potter and Co... as (the creepiest yet incredibly intricately designed) baby dolls.
Created by the twisted-minded talented Tracy Ann Lister,  these collectors items look mind-blowingly life-like and if any of you have the burning desire to own one, well, you can. Just saunter over here and you could be the proud parent of Voldemort.
For those of you who have never seen any of the filims, I have included "before" and "after" photos (found on themarysue).

Wonder if Daniel Radcliffe actually looked like this as a baby? Obviously sans the lightning bolt. Obviously.

Dobby the house elf as an infant is relatively cute. Relative to Voldemort.

I need to pinch Draco's cheeks. Reminds me a bit of a Cabbage Patch doll. Remember those guys?

Even though I've read more than my fair share of Harry Potter books, I still can't for the life of me remember who Luna is? This doll is ridiculously life-like.

Snape: (one of) the bad guys. That death stare can cause one to quiver in a corner overcome with fear. Terrifying!

Voldemort: Makes the Benjamin Button baby look...er...as cute as a ....er....button?

Not too sure though what I would do if I was faced with the situation of the doctor flying into the hospital room, excitedly screaming "it's a boy!" and handing over an adorablely wrapped-up bundle of...Voldemort. Wow, I just freaked myself out.

Hope you were/are fascinated!

Last night I got shown an awesome. (virtually and not in real life)
This awesome is moss. Green moss.
In theory, it sounds rather gross and something I could only imagine to be growing in a slimy prison cell packed with sweat and "snot and trane", and of course hungry and fierce men. But, those guys should be so lucky.
This green moss is something of the special type (I know what you're thinking and no. Not THAT special) And the best part? You make it yourself! I do love me some good ol' fashioned D.I.Y.
Welcome to Moss Graffitti (created by Anna Garforth)! I'm not so much the green-fingery type but I do think this is goshdarn unbelievable and I can't wait to one day have a wall all of my own to experiment this creation on! I would paint/grow birds, so many hundreds of birds!
The images below I found on Inhabitat (a very awesome site dedicated to design!)

How to Make Moss Graffiti:
Step 1: Mix all ingredients together in a blender. (see link below)
Step 2: Paint in any shape or form on your wall-canvas
Step 3: Water (and water some more)
Step 4: Voila! You now have a real life awesome. On your wall. If anyone does do this - Please send me some pics!

For a slightly more informative and detailed explanation of the process click here

Happy days!

Side note: This awesome is courtesy of my pretty friend that possesses the most amazing au natural curls on all the planet. Thanks Simsong!

Another sidenote: She also told me she has so much spare time on her hands that she "is almost finished the internet". Had to share this because I thought it was painstakingly hilarious! Perhaps it's an HTBT though?

Yesterday I came across one of the most awesome photographic projects I've seen in about three and a half months (to be kinda exact). The last one I found (some 3.5 months ago) is a whooole other story for another time.
Anyway, the author of Dear Photograph asks his/her (I haven't quite figured out the gender of this one yet) readers to submit (yes, you too can do this! <said in the  infomercial voice> ) snaps from their pasts except taken in the exact same spot in the present! He/She also asks the submitter to write a short note to their photo. Feast your eyes on my favourite shots from the DP blog.

The end result is totally rad and totally inspired me to venture into my back yard, and also into my back cupboard. I present to you: my dug up, dusty and ancient pics, in their new environment. TADA!

Here's me learning to sit. Or being delivered to my Mom in the box, as my brother likes to tell people. I prefer to say there is no thinking out the box before learning to think in the box. (a bit lame? Thought so.) There's my cousin in her really pretty rokkie, with me (looking more like the male species) on her back.

That's my little brother (who turned 23 yesterday: happy day of birth, little brother!) taking his bike for a spin way back when. Aren't you glad I gave a description to this? Else you would never have figured out what on earth he was doing.

This idea is so simple it makes you think, "how the bleep did I not think of this?!" Go muster up some courage now and haul out those snotty-nosed, ice cream-faced snaps of you, re-click and submit!
Happy past-in-the-present snapping!

So, I've been attempting to start this blog off for the past 2 years now (sheesh, putting that down in words makes it seem like a heak <combination of freak and heck- feel free to use it>  of a long time!), and now it's finally happening. Finally.
Being a strong believer in the Law of Attraction and positivity breeds positivity and ALSO realising that maintaining a positive and peaceful state of mind at all times can be rather tricky (if not impossible at certain times!), I'm going to try and push myself to discover something new and awesome and beautiful and uplifting at least every second day. I believe that by doing this, I'll be concentrating on the searching of, and stumbling upon, the awesomeness in my life and in this world (however big or tiny) and allowing the negativity to take a back seat. This is kind of an experiment slash project to note if, and how, my life will improve from the commencement of this "positivity project".
Enjoy!
P.S. I thought this motivational was quite apt and awesome!
